SUPERVISION
Clinical supervision is a critical process in your professional development. It’s a vulnerable time where you are expected to grow into your independent licensure. We can feel like we need to show competence, never make a mistake, always have the right answer, and never get stuck with clients in our various work environments.
I try to offer a reprieve from those stances. I utilize AEDP’s supervision model to help supervisees develop into the flourishing professionals they were meant to be. Supervision is a time to share your mistakes, learn, laugh, access your emotions (including anger, fear, and sadness), and learn what is expected of you as a helping professional.

I am able to supervise social workers (LSWs and those working towards their LICSW) and clinical counselors (those working towards their LPCC). I have completed the required training hours and independent practice hours to be a supervisor with the MN Board of Social Work and the MN Board of Behavioral Health and Therapy.

I’m especially interested in helping professionals who have an oppressed identity/identities, such as LGBTQ+ and/or BIPOC clinicians.

I try to adapt to your learning style, whatever it may be. Supervision with me can include: reviewing client caseloads; consulting on ways to move forward with clients; exploring how who you are, and what you’ve gone through, intersects with your profession; discussing your work environment; discussing laws and statutes that impact practice; implementing models of practice; exploring diagnosing clients with DSM/ICD conditions; exploring and understanding the impact of identity and culture on clinical work; understanding ethics and how they intersect with professional practice; developing clinical tools; developing a small business; professional development; learning where to find the information you need for your practice; and identifying any other learning areas that feel relevant to your professional development.

I am not currently working with MSW students/interns.
